The Bishop’s Episcopal Seal…
The bishop’s seal is divided
dorsal/ventral, with the blue representing the depth of the heavens above, and
the red representing the sacrifices of the Martyrs here on earth, which we too,
may one day be called to make ourselves. In front of and crossing both the
representations of heaven and earth is the Lamb of God standing triumphant. The
cross behind the Coat of Arms signifies the vast responsibility of the bishop
as both a Diocesan Ordinary and as a Provincial Ordinary. The Episcopal
hat, or “galero” has six tassels on each side and is green,
indicating the Episcopal dignity of his office. The banner under the crest
reads, “Dominus Vobiscum”, which is Latin, and means, “The
Lord Be With You”.

You
Are Called To Holiness…
Christians today are under siege from all sides. From the schools that
our children go to, to the shows on television, and even the media are
predisposed towards criticizing the faith. Today, we live in a culture of
violence and death, where violence is packaged, sensationalized and sold to our
youth, where death is the solution to lives which inconvenience our own - young
and old, unborn and near the end of life alike. We live in a culture that loves
to destroy, yet has not learned to create. We need prayer more than ever; we
need to teach our children to pray and to love the Lord.
We are being presented, in this day and age, a secular Christianity
that is politically correct, that does not call us to Holiness, but
comfortableness. The world wants to sell us a secular Christianity that is
palatable to the world at large. There are many who do not want us to deliver
the Good News; they want people to continue living in the grip of
wealth-building, the accumulation of possessions, the satiation of carnal
desires, and every unwholesome thing - ignoring the needs of their brothers and
sisters, allowing others to go hungry, sick, homeless and spiritually broken.
Although no one is being thrown to the lions, we as Christians are still under
siege, whether we know it or not.
Slowly but surely, the faith of many Christians is being replaced with
secular humanism; belief in Christ is being reduced to parity with false
doctrines and teachings long anathematized by the church. It is time to take a
stand for Christ; It is time to live out your baptismal promises. It is time to
pick up your cross and follow Him. Become a member of a Christian community
that makes every part of their life a testament to the love of God. Be a
member, not a number - a brother or sister in Christ, and not a number on a
church ledger.
Join us at the Catholic
Apostolic National Church in fellowship and prayer. Join our community in "fighting the
good fight", coming together as Christian men and women who choose to keep
Christ in every part of their lives. We welcome you to our community and want
you to feel welcome. Perhaps you used to go to church but stopped, and now want
to return; here, you are welcome.
